Weekly Wrap Up ~ October 29, 2021

My weight is up .8 pounds this week, from 179.2 last Friday to 180 today. Normally, I wouldn’t be at all bothered by a .8 pound gain in a week. I’m not terribly upset by it this time, but I’ve been trying to break out of the 180s for almost 2 weeks now, so going up in weight is not what I was hoping for. I’ve been doing one meal a day (OMAD) for a couple of weeks, and apparently that isn’t working for me right now. So this week, I’m going to do a 48-hour fast from dinner tonight to dinner Sunday night, then I’ll do rolling 36-hour fasts. So I’ll eat Sunday night, Tuesday morning, Wednesday night, and Friday morning. We’ll see how that goes. Fingers crossed!

I had a week “off” from watching what I ate. Steve and I had a really busy week and are moving! We spent a few afternoons in, what will be, our new stomping grounds and tried out a few restaurants that are within walking distance. I KNEW my weight would go up this week and was okay with it. I haven’t cheated in a really long time and, as I say in today’s episode, I really believe that if we deny ourselves of everything all of the time…we’re setting ourselves up to fail! Last week’s Wrap Up my weight was 147.4 and today it’s 151.5. That gives me a gain of 4.1 pounds. I’m totally fine with that! As you’ll see in my food diary, I really ate BAD STUFF this week…loved every single bite! HA! I’m back on it today and know that this weight gain is short lived!

Friday

I forgot to take a picture of my meal Friday night, but I had 2 scrambled eggs with shredded mozzarella cheese and the rest of some Italian sausage.

Saturday

Saturday I had some frozen veggies from Trader Joe’s, some frozen hot and spicy Trader Joe’s chicken wings, and some cream of mushroom soup I made from Lori’s recipe.

Sunday

Sunday night I made way too much food. I added some cubes of leftover pork loin to a bowl of cream mushroom soup and ate only half of the bowl. I cooked three Trader Joe’s hot and spicy chicken wings but ended up giving them to my son. I also made 3 chicken salad lettuce cups and a salad that had romaine, half a tomato diced, and Primal Kitchen Caesar dressing (which was yummy by the way and has only 2 carbs per serving). I also ate just half of each of those items. Oh well, tomorrow’s dinner is already made!

Monday

Sunday night I made a rice dish for my son that he used for his meals for the week. That recipe included bell peppers, and I didn’t use them all up, so I included some in my Monday night meal. I also had leftover shitake mushrooms from the cream of mushroom soup I made a few days ago. (Check out Lori’s Keto Cream of Mushroom Soup recipe! It’s delish!) So I cooked some diced peppers and shitake mushrooms together then made 4 slices of bacon in the microwave, chopped it up and stirred it into the skillet with the peppers and mushrooms. It was good, but kind of dry. I’m going to make it again but maybe put some kind of sauce on top, or maybe a spoonful of the soup!

With that I had the 1 1/2 chicken salad lettuce cups that I didn’t eat Sunday night and a salad that included romaine lettuce, shredded cheddar cheese, half a tomato diced and a couple of tablespoons of Primal Kitchen Caesar Dressing with Avocado Oil.

Tuesday

Tuesday night I had a cup of the cream of mushroom soup, more of the Trader Joe’s frozen veggies, and a chicken breast I marinated in the Primal Kitchen Caesar dressing.

Wednesday

Wednesday night was almost the same. I had another marinated chicken breast and frozen veggies, but I melted some mozzarella on the veggies this time.

Thursday

Thursday night I went back to good old scrambled eggs and bacon. I love breakfast food. I ate 4 slices of bacon and added some shredded cheddar to two scrambled eggs.

Friday

After a busy day looking at potential places to move we opted for Hooters wings and, for the first time in a really long time, enjoyed sharing desserts. We didn’t finish either dessert.

Saturday

Decided on a place to move and decided to spend the day around the area. We stopped in a place for lunch. I had grilled chicken topped with Swiss cheese and sautéed mushrooms with a side of broccoli.

I didn’t get a picture but, for the first time in I don’t know how long, we had pizza!  Thin crust with pepperoni, onion and green peppers.

 

Sunday

We spent Sunday morning and afternoon where we’re moving. There’s a Mellow Mushroom right in our building! We popped in there and had a wedge salad.

We had Chinese delivery for dinner. I had shrimp fried rice.

 

Monday

MORE Chinese food today! Garlic shrimp (I didn’t eat the rice that came with it) and egg drop soup.

Tuesday

We had Moe’s Southwest Grill delivered. I had a burrito bowl (no rice or beans) but I did eat the chips and salsa.

Wednesday

MORE Mexican delivery! Qdoba burrito bowl (no rice or beans) with chips and salsa.

Thursday

As the grand finale of or “eat whatever the heck you want”…3 Taco Bell tacos, nacho Doritos and a Hershey Bar.
